Calgon Bath Beads
Calgon Bath Beads are what we recommend for making the walls of your waste holding tanks slippery. This slipperiness helps keep waste from sticking to the tank walls and sensors inside.
Kate perfers the Lavender scented but the Ocean Breeze or even Hawaiian Ginger will work just as well.

Tank & Sewer Accessories
Hardware and accessories for your holding tanks and sewer connections.

Valterra Flush King
This is the tool that we use for backflushing your holding tanks during a tank cleaning. It allows us to easily fill the holding tank, then quickly dump the water down the sewer. Highly recommend every RV owner have one of these tools in their kit. This makes backflushing your grey tanks much faster than trying to fill them through the shower or the sink.
Highly recommend pairing with a digital water meter.

Valterra Gate Valve
We learned very early on in our RV travels about the surprise that awaits you behind the sewer cap when you go to hookup your sewer hose after a travel day. That unpleasant liquid no one wants to get all over themselves. This Valterra twist-on gate valve elminates that problem by giving you a way to keep the residual liquid behind the gate allowing you a mess free experience when attaching your sewer hose. Additionally, this gate valve serves an extra line of defense in the event one of your main gate valves develops a leak.
Highly recommend using a 4" hose clamp around the bayonet to keep the tension on the fitting and help hold the twist-on valve in place.

Restmo Digital Water Meter
When we’re backflushing your tanks during our cleaning process this is the water meter we use. We like the reliable metal connection on the inlet side as well as being able to see both the flow rate (gallons per minute) and the total number of gallons of water we’ve put into the tank.

Fresh Water Accessories
Filters, hoses, and fresh water system essentials.

Camco Water Filter
As we travel the US full time we find the water quality varies quite a bit from questionable well water to refined city water. We have always used a water filter for our camping adventures, starting out with this basic Camco inline waster filter. In fact we still use these on occasion even though we primarily use a triple stage filtration system .
We recommend this style of water filter as the bare minimum you should use on every camping trip. Highly suggest you write the date of first use on them with a Sharpie and keep the plastic caps that come with them to keep contaminants from getting inside while not in use. Replace at least once every camping season or more frequently as you camp more.

Camco EVO X2 Dual Stage Water Filter
Looking to step up your water filtration from the basic inline water filter ? This two stage water filter system from Camco is that next step up. Replaceable filters and you can choose the level of filtration you need. This system uses standard 10" x 2" filter media readily available in a variety of types and micron ratings both online and in store.
We recommend this type of filter system for those who camp a lot and care about the quality of the water in their RV. Those of you with pets will really appreciate the extra filtration that this system provides. Highly recommend having a 5-10 micron sediment filter in the first cannister and a 1 micron carbon block filter in the second cannister.

Gorilla Easy Garden Hose Quick Connect Fittings
When I got started in the tank cleaning business I quickly learned that the constant threading/unthreading of my water hoses was going to be an issue. Amazon to the rescue with these garden hose quick connects. I’ve been using these for both the work hoses and our personal hoses for four years now. I’ve had one fitting break and that only because a screw fell out and I couldn’t find the screw. The other issue I have is that the little O-rings eventually wear our but these are easily replaced and Gorilla Easy sells a kit that has numerous O-rings included. Additionally they sell a variety of related nozzles, ball valves and hose repair kits that all work with their quick connect system.
I have these on every water hose I use which is quite a few. They make setting up and tearing down on travel day a breeze. For those looking for a little extra security with a quick connect fitting they also make one that has a locking ring which I really like for the ends in our RV wet bay.

On The Go Portable Water Softener
We didn’t start out our full time journey with a water softener, but after a couple of years we added this one to our kit and have appreciated the changes it provides. There are three main advantages to softened water: healthier skin, softer hair and it is better for the plumbing and appliances in your RV. Softened water helps reduce the amount of calcium and magnesium that gets into your RV plumbing, fixtures and appliances. Kate really notices when our softener needs regenerating as she can see the calcium start building up on our dark metal sink fixtures.
Highly recommended if you want the same “at home” quality to your water and care about the calcium/magnesium building up in your plumbing/fixtures. This is especially important for those with on demand water heaters as descaling these units can be quite a challenge.
Additionally I recommend pairing this with a inline water meter to keep track of how many gallons of water are used between regeneration cycles.

Water Heater Flush Wand
This is the tool we use when flushing your tank-style RV water heater. Easy to use and does a great job of knocking loose built up sediment and scale inside your water heater and helps you flush the debris out through the drain plug hole. A must for every RV owner with a tank-style water heater.

Waterproof RV Storage and Organization Bags
These were recommended by another full time RV friend. I was a bit skeptical at first but we’ve had them for a year and a half now and use them every single day. They are more sturdy than they look and have held up well to the rigors of RV travel like riding in the back of the truck or getting tossed on the ground getting dirty and rained on.
Each bag holds several feet of water hose (easily at least 50’ of quality rubber hose) or smaller items like extension cords and dog tie outs. We use these for both our personal stuff as well as for the business.
